Meet Our Executive Director

The Light House Board of Directors is pleased to announce that long-time volunteer and former board chair, Elizabeth Kinney has accepted the position of Executive Director.

A 28-year community advocate and 1995 graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel, Elizabeth has served on many local non-profit boards, including Londontowne, the Key School and the Maryland Social Services Board. She has been involved with the Light House Shelter for 17 years as a volunteer. President of the Friends of the Light House Shelter Board from 2004-2007, President of the Annapolis Area Ministries Board for two years, she was also Chair of the recent successful Campaign for Shelter which raised $8.2 million for the new facility. Her professional career has been that of business entrepreneur, owning a graphic arts firm from 1980 to 1984, a retail store in Easton, MD from 1985 to 1994, and a health and wellness consulting company from 1995 to 2005. Her proudest accomplishments are that of loving wife and mother of 3 daughters, all of whom are dedicated to community service.

She is a visionary leader and well known consensus builder whose expertise, enthusiasm and proven track record will help move the Light House Shelter and organization to the next level of service to the residents, staff, volunteers and the community.
